Lay Me Down

You let me in cause, after all, it seemed like the right thing to do. I closed my eyes and let you fall. I wonder what you could possibly know about being down that I don't. It's been awhile since I begged for anything, but now I want more. So lay me down, I'm lonely. You don't understand me, and you never even tried to anyway. I hear you say, "It's not the same." I'm sorry, it's something I just can't explain. So shut your mouth and hold me close. We both know it's better than being alone. I don't mind killing time as long as I can't see it in your eyes.

I Have No Idea About What I'm Going to Wear Tonight

Tonight is Ross' crazy liquor and cheeseburger party (or something) tonight and I cannot go because I'm going to one of my BFF's birthday party. I'm still hoping I can sneak in an early appearance at the liquor party before I head out to Kits just to say hi and look hot and have the boys glare at me with lust (any attention is good attention!). I would also like to maybe hit up the mall and try and find something to wear. I WANT NEW HEELS!!!!! I wore my cute black ones for my grad ceremony on Thursday, and I forgot how much I miss wearing them (until about three hours later when the balls of my feet are aching). I also want to get another cardigan in white possibly annnnnnd I definitely need to finish laundry soon. SO MANY THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND! Also, my little nephew is 2 today! How crazy is that?

I'm really digging the SW music choices (anywhere from The Strokes to The Ramones to The Clash to Blue Monday to Britney Spears to PARIS HILTON???) And I just downloaded a bunch and can't stop listening to these songs which is kind of depressing I think. As well, I cannot stop listening to The Dudes who are a great, great, great Canadian band from Calgary (another good thing about Calgary, who would have thought)

Umm, so I guess that's all I want to say in this shitstorm excuse for a blog.

Oh! I got a sketch notebook yesterday and drew an octopus with pencil crayons. I like it.

So basically in closing, here is a picture of me with the Valedictorian of our grad class (we survived dinosaur class)

I Made BEER CUPCAKES!!

Yay for shitty newspapers giving me awesome recipes! These brownies I made from scratch using Guinness (a meal within a dessert!) I think they're pretty darn good.

Here's a picture pre-icing (which I can't say I'm too much of a fan of. Cream cheese icing should be reserved for carrot cake).

Umm, what else is new...
I'm going to go see Vagrants on Parade play tonight at the Bourbon, that should be good. I'm bringing my cupcakes there so they can eat them and make fun of me and tell me how shitty they are. Love you boys. I'm excited to see how the band sounds with Graham playing his little drum deeler.

Quick Entry

I drank white wine last night, it was the first time in a very long time. I plan on drinking my growers tonight. I want to watch the boys play Resident Evil 5. Yes, this is what I dream of doing when I could be out drinking anywhere tonight. I'm lazy and don't want to hit up downtown. Just give me a house and a comfortable place to sit and drank.

PS, Sloan is awesome and when I was younger I always got them confused with The Strokes. I know... I know.

Random Thought:

Do you ever have issues listening to songs because you can't get through them without bawling your eyes out? Well I have a few of those, and I'd just like to say that after almost THREE years, I can finally listen to Truffle Pigs again. I'm still having issues with these ones:

  • Generation X-Wing (acoustic)
  • Advertising on Police Cars
  • You Were Meant For Me
  • Fever Dream

PS, I'm not stoked on working all weekend.

This is a List of Attractive Males in Bands

Jesse Lacey. Need I say more? Yes. When this man was standing maybe three feet away from me, I saw so awstruck by his man-beauty that I physically could not move. No one has ever done that to me before, or again.

The Lonely Island boys. Please look at Jorma's face. It's just priceless.

Tyson Ritter before the cocaine look. Maybe back when The Last Song or Swing Swing first came out. Also apparently he's a model now? Weird.

Tim Armstrong. No amount of heroin could make this man unnatractive to me.

Jay Malinowski from Bedouin Soundclash. His voice is kind of annoying, but just look at that mug.
And this is all I can think of right now. Time to clean the drool off of my keyboard.
